Head to head
Timo vs Asksuite: AI Receptionist or AI Reservation Assistant?
A straight comparison of Timo and Asksuite for hotels: what each is built around, channels, phone coverage, integrations, published pricing, and which properties each one actually suits.
The short answer
Asksuite and Timo both automate hotel guest messaging, but they are built for different desks. Asksuite is an AI reservation assistant and omnichannel platform for converting pre-booking conversations, used by 5,500+ hotels. Timo is an AI receptionist that also answers the phone, works with Mews, and covers the stay. Choose Asksuite when reservations are the bottleneck, Timo when reception is.

What each column means, and why it decides anything
- Built around
- Both products answer guests. One was designed around the booking, the other around the stay, and that decides which one pays for itself at your property.
- Channels named on its own site
- Coverage of the channel your guests actually pick matters more than any feature list.
- Answers the phone
- Messaging and phone calls are different products. If reception loses its evenings to calls, a messaging only tool leaves that problem where it was.
- Integrations
- An assistant that cannot see availability or the reservation can only answer generic questions. Check your own PMS and booking engine are named, not just the total.
- Published pricing
- Whether you can budget before a sales call, and how quickly you can rule the tool in or out.
- Scale the vendor publishes
- Size buys you process, references and stability. Being small buys you access and flexibility. Decide which one your property needs more.
The two options
Timo
Our productAn AI receptionist covering WhatsApp, phone and email, built around the reception desk of a property with no night shift to spare.
Best for: Independents, small groups and serviced apartments on Mews where booked guests, often on the phone, are what eat the evenings.
Timo answers guest questions on WhatsApp, on the phone and by email, with one unified inbox and full guest history. It guides digital check-in, captures and routes service requests to your team with full context, and offers early check-in, late checkout, parking or upgrades at the right moment in the stay. It reacts when guests get in touch and also starts conversations itself, based on booking data and timing. It works with Mews today and is PMS agnostic by design, with further integrations in progress. Most properties have a first version live in about two weeks: connect the PMS, agree the FAQs and tasks, test in safe mode, then switch on 24/7 coverage. Pricing starts from 99 EUR per month, with the setup tailored per property. We are far smaller than Asksuite, which is the honest trade for direct access to the team that builds it.
Asksuite
Checked Sep 11, 2026An AI reservation assistant and omnichannel platform built around the conversation that happens before a booking, and the reservations team that handles it.
Best for: Hotels, resorts and chains whose leak is the pre-booking enquiry that never converts, and whose reservations or contact centre team is the bottleneck.
Asksuite describes itself as an all-in-one AI and communication platform connecting hotels and travelers. Its site leads with an AI Reservation Assistant that answers 24/7 in 50+ languages, via text or audio, and sends real-time quotes; an omnichannel inbox covering webchat, WhatsApp on the official API, Instagram, Facebook Messenger and inbound email; an AI Agent Copilot for reservation teams; and AskFlow Agents that automate tasks such as booking engine abandonment follow-ups, group quotes, booking confirmations, check-in and check-out messages and service feedback. It publishes 5,500+ hotels in more than 80 countries and 500+ hotel integrations, including connections to more than 400 booking engines, and says it was born in 2018. It does not publish prices: its own FAQ says pricing depends on your hotel's needs.
The difference that actually decides it
Feature lists make these two look closer than they are. The deciding question is which desk is losing you money: reservations or reception?
Asksuite is built around the sale. Its homepage leads with an AI Reservation Assistant that answers would-be guests 24/7 and sends real-time quotes, a copilot for human reservation agents, connections to more than 400 booking engines, and agents for booking engine abandonment, unavailability follow-ups and group quotes. If your problem is enquiries that arrive on Instagram or the website and never turn into bookings, that is exactly the ground it was built for, with 5,500+ hotels of practice.
Timo is built around the stay. Its typical conversation is with a guest who has already booked and now needs the WiFi code, the parking, the check-in steps or a late checkout, and who very often picks up the phone to ask. Timo answers WhatsApp, the phone and email from one unified inbox, and escalates what needs a person with full context.
The two overlap at the edges: Asksuite's agents send check-in and check-out messages and collect feedback, and Timo answers pre-arrival questions and offers early check-in before the guest arrives. But the centre of gravity is different, and that is what decides which one pays for itself.
When Asksuite is the better buy
We would rather you read this now than find it out in month three.
- Your bottleneck is reservations, not reception. Pre-booking enquiries, quotes, group requests and abandoned bookings are Asksuite's core, and it publishes connections to more than 400 booking engines so its assistant can quote real availability.
- You run a reservations or contact centre team. An agent copilot and an inbound reservation CRM are built for that team. Timo is built for a front desk.
- Instagram and Facebook Messenger matter to you. Asksuite names both as channels. Timo covers WhatsApp, phone and email.
- Your PMS is not Mews and you need an integration that exists today. Asksuite publishes 500+ hotel integrations. Check yours is one of them: Mews is not named on its integrations page.
- You want a large installed base. 5,500+ hotels in 80+ countries buys references in most markets and a product that has met most edge cases. We cannot offer that yet.
When Timo is the better buy
- The phone is part of the problem. Asksuite's site does not name phone call answering. Timo answers calls at reception, and can transfer specific cases to your human receptionist.
- Your pain starts after the booking. In-stay questions, check-in guidance, service requests routed to the right person, and the late checkout offered the night before are the job Timo is built around.
- You run Mews. Timo works with Mews today, and most properties have a first version live in about two weeks. See how Timo works for Mews properties.
- You want a number before the call. Timo lists a starting price of 99 EUR per month. Asksuite says its pricing depends on your hotel's needs.
- You want to talk to the people who build it. At our size, an operator's request lands with the team that ships the product. At a vendor with 5,500 hotels, it competes with thousands of others. That cuts both ways, and you should weigh it honestly.
How to decide in a week
- Split last week's guest contacts in two. Before booking (availability, prices, quotes) and after booking (check-in, WiFi, parking, requests). The bigger pile picks your shortlist before any demo does.
- Count the calls. How many did reception take after 8pm? If the answer is most of the evening, weigh phone coverage above everything else on this page.
- Ask both vendors the same three questions. Which PMS and booking engine fields do you read and write today? What happens when the assistant is not sure? What does month one look like in safe mode?
- Ask for a reference property on your PMS and your size, and actually call it.

How this page was built
Every claim about Asksuite on this page was read off asksuite.com on 11 September 2026: its homepage, including its own FAQ on pricing and scale, its integrations page and its about page. We have not run Asksuite in a live property, so this compares what each company publishes and what we know about our own product, not a side by side trial.
We build Timo, so this page is not neutral, and pretending otherwise would be worse than saying it. What we have tried to do instead is name the cases where Asksuite wins. If anything here is out of date or wrong, tell us and we will correct it.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between Timo and Asksuite?
Asksuite is an AI reservation assistant and omnichannel platform built to convert pre-booking conversations, covering webchat, WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook Messenger and email, with 5,500+ hotels and 500+ published integrations. Timo is an AI receptionist built around the stay, covering WhatsApp, phone and email, and it works with Mews today. The practical split is reservations against reception, and whether the phone is part of the job.
Does Asksuite answer phone calls?
Asksuite's own website does not name phone call answering as of 11 September 2026. The channels it names are webchat, WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook Messenger and inbound email, and it says its AI Reservation Assistant answers via text or audio. If phone coverage is what you are buying, ask Asksuite directly rather than relying on any comparison page, this one included.
How much does Asksuite cost?
Asksuite does not publish a price list. Its own FAQ says pricing depends on your hotel's needs, that it serves everything from independent hotels to large chains, and that its specialists prepare a personalised plan once you get in touch. Expect a call before you have a number. Timo lists a starting price of 99 EUR per month and tailors the setup and final price per property.
Does Asksuite integrate with Mews?
Mews is not named on Asksuite's integrations page as of 11 September 2026. That page says Asksuite connects to CRMs, PMSs, revenue management systems and booking engines, with 500+ hotel integrations in total, so ask them directly whether Mews is one and which data it reads and writes. Timo works with Mews today and is PMS agnostic by design, with further integrations in progress.
Which one is better for a small independent hotel?
It depends on where a small team loses its time. If most guest contact is people asking about availability and prices before they book, Asksuite is built for exactly that conversation. If your evenings go on booked guests asking practical questions, often by phone, Timo is built for that. Count last week's messages and calls before and after booking; the ratio usually answers the question before any demo.
Fifteen minutes, your property, a straight answer on whether Timo is the right fit. If Asksuite suits you better, we will say so.
