HiJiffy Alternatives in 2026: 5 Options and What to Check Before You Switch
Thinking of leaving HiJiffy? Why hotels outgrow a messaging hub, what to check before you switch, and five alternatives compared from their own sites: Timo, Asksuite, Canary Technologies, Duve and Quinta.
The short answer
The credible HiJiffy alternatives in 2026 are Asksuite for reservation conversion, Canary Technologies for a full guest management suite with AI voice, Duve for online check-in and a guest app, Quinta for hotel data distribution to AI assistants, and Timo for phone plus WhatsApp at reception. Pick the one built around the problem HiJiffy is not solving for you.

What each column means, and why it decides anything
- Reason to switch to it
- Nobody should switch to get the same product with a different logo. Each alternative is strongest at a different job, and the job HiJiffy is not doing for you picks the row.
- Messaging channels named on its site
- A switch should not cost you a channel your guests already use. Check your current HiJiffy channel mix against each row before anything else.
- Phone calls
- The most common gap in a messaging first setup. Vendors use the word voice for different things, so ask each one, HiJiffy included, whether an inbound call to reception is answered.
- PMS integrations it publishes
- Your guest data lives in the PMS. A switch that breaks that connection breaks personalised answers, check-in links and upsells, so confirm your PMS is named, not just the total.
- Published pricing
- Switching costs twice: a new subscription and a new setup. Compare against the HiJiffy plan you actually need, not the one it advertises first.
The options in detail
HiJiffy
Checked Sep 11, 2026The baseline you are comparing against: a guest communications hub that consolidates messaging channels in one console and automates the FAQ layer, with prices published per plan.
Best for: Staying put is the right call if your problem is scattered messaging channels, your PMS is on its integration list, and the plan you need is one you already pay for.
HiJiffy describes itself as a guest communications hub. Its homepage says its AI handles up to 90% of guest conversations automatically and names webchat, WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, Telegram, email, voice and native Booking.com, Expedia and Airbnb messaging as channels. It publishes 2,600+ hotels in 60+ countries, 100+ integrations, and a Mews integration page on which it states it is a Mews Preferred Partner. Its published plans matter most if you are thinking of leaving: Basic, from 99 EUR per month, covers website chat with up to 25 standard FAQ topics in 3 languages; Pro, from 159 EUR, adds generative AI, social channels, email and booking engine integration; PMS integration and automated WhatsApp campaigns are listed under Premium, from 319 EUR. Each plan adds a setup fee per five properties (99, 399 and 599 EUR), and prices scale with rooms.
Timo
Our productAn AI receptionist that answers guests on WhatsApp, phone and email, built around the reception desk rather than the inbox.
Best for: Properties looking beyond a messaging hub because the phone, not the chat window, is still where reception loses its evenings.
Timo is the alternative if the reason you are looking is calls. It answers guest questions on WhatsApp, on the phone and by email from one unified inbox with full guest history, and can transfer specific cases to your human receptionist. It guides digital check-in, captures and routes service requests with full context, and offers early check-in, late checkout, parking or upgrades at the right moment, reacting to guests and also reaching out itself based on booking data and timing. It works with Mews today and is PMS agnostic by design, with further integrations in progress. Most properties have a first version live in about two weeks: connect the PMS, agree the FAQs and tasks, test in safe mode, then switch on 24/7. Pricing starts from 99 EUR per month, with the setup tailored per property. We are much smaller than HiJiffy and publish far fewer integrations, which matters if your PMS is not Mews.
Asksuite
Checked Sep 11, 2026An AI reservation assistant and omnichannel platform built around converting the pre-booking conversation.
Best for: Hotels looking beyond HiJiffy because reservation conversion, not in-stay service, is the number they need to move, and whose reservations team wants an agent copilot.
Asksuite positions itself as an all-in-one AI and communication platform for hotels, led by an AI Reservation Assistant that answers 24/7 in 50+ languages and sends real-time quotes. Its omnichannel inbox covers webchat, WhatsApp on the official API, Instagram, Facebook Messenger and inbound email, and its AskFlow Agents automate tasks such as booking engine abandonment follow-ups, group quotes and check-in and check-out messages. It publishes 5,500+ hotels in 80+ countries and 500+ hotel integrations, including more than 400 booking engines; Mews is not named on its integrations page. Pricing is quoted: its own FAQ says it depends on your hotel's needs.
Canary Technologies
Checked Sep 11, 2026A guest management system where AI messaging and AI voice sit beside check-in, upsells, payments and sales and catering.
Best for: Groups and larger properties looking beyond a point solution because they would rather buy check-in, upsells, payments, messaging and voice from one vendor.
Canary sells a whole guest management system rather than a single assistant. Its site lists mobile check-in, kiosks and mobile keys, dynamic upsells, digital tipping, sales and catering, deposits and payments, and a Canary AI line of AI Voice, AI Guest Messaging and AI Webchat. It describes AI Voice as answering every call 24/7, booking and modifying reservations, promoting upsells and routing calls to your teams, and AI Guest Messaging as covering SMS, WhatsApp and web chat in 100+ languages. It publishes 20,000+ hotels in 125+ countries, shows brands including Wyndham Hotels & Resorts and Choice Hotels on its homepage, and lists two-way integrations with PMSs including Opera, Mews and Cloudbeds. Pricing is custom: its pricing page routes you to sales.
Duve
Checked Sep 11, 2026A guest experience platform built around the guest app and online check-in, with DuveAI answering messages across channels.
Best for: Properties looking beyond HiJiffy because what they really want is online check-in, digital keys and upsells, with messaging as part of that journey.
Duve calls itself a unified hotel guest experience platform. It leads with online check-in (registration, ID and payment from the guest's phone), digital keys, a guest app that needs no download, mobile ordering and upsells. DuveAI answers in 100+ languages across WhatsApp, SMS, email, in-app chat and Airbnb and Booking.com messaging, depending on your PMS or channel manager integration, and escalates billing and rate questions to staff. It publishes 150+ integrations and a two-way Mews integration, connected from the Mews Marketplace, that writes guest details and upsell orders back to Mews. It publishes real prices as minimum packages: 120 USD per month for Basic, 150 USD for Pro, which adds the communication hub, and 200 USD for Premium, which adds upsells. It says it can go live in as little as 10 days.
Quinta (formerly Quicktext)
Checked Sep 11, 2026A hotel data platform that structures what a property knows about itself and distributes it to OTAs, GDS, metasearch and AI assistants, with the Velma assistant on top.
Best for: Hotels looking beyond HiJiffy because their bigger worry is being found and recommended inside ChatGPT, Gemini and metasearch, not answering the guests they already have.
Quinta, formerly Quicktext, now describes itself as a hotel data management and distribution platform. It collects and updates more than 4,200 data points per hotel and synchronises them across the hotel's website, OTAs, GDS, metasearch and AI environments including ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity, including distribution over MCP. Its Velma assistant is sold as an AI booking assistant and virtual concierge in 38 languages. It names groups including Accor, Hyatt, Palladium and Warwick. It publishes a starting price: Quinta Data Services from 599 USD per month. It competes for the same budget as HiJiffy, but it is solving a discovery problem rather than a front desk one.
Why hotels start looking for a HiJiffy alternative
HiJiffy is a mature, hospitality native product with 2,600+ hotels behind it, so this is not a page about a bad tool. Properties rarely leave software that works. They leave because the problem changed, or because the plan that solves it costs more than they expected. Reading HiJiffy's own site, four situations stand out.
The phone is still ringing. HiJiffy is messaging first. It now lists voice among its channels, and its plan table describes that as voice messaging. If inbound calls to reception are what eat your evenings, ask exactly what happens when a guest dials your number before you assume any messaging tool covers it.
What you need sits on a higher plan. On HiJiffy's published plans, Basic covers website chat with up to 25 standard FAQ topics in 3 languages. Social channels, email and generative AI come with Pro, from 159 EUR per month. PMS integration and automated WhatsApp campaigns are listed under Premium, from 319 EUR per month plus a 599 EUR setup fee per five properties. If you need WhatsApp and your PMS, the honest comparison is against Premium, not Basic.
The bottleneck moved. A communications hub is built to answer and route messages. If the number you now need to move is reservation conversion, online check-in, or whether an AI assistant recommends your hotel at all, a tool built around that job will usually beat a hub that treats it as a module.
You want fewer vendors, or a different kind of vendor. Some groups consolidate check-in, payments, upsells and messaging into one suite. Some small properties want the opposite: a smaller supplier where the people who build the product are the people you talk to.
None of these is a verdict on HiJiffy. If your problem is five inboxes and your PMS is on its list, it may still be the right tool, and a switch has real costs.
What to check before you switch
Switching guest communication tools mid-season is where most of the pain lives. Six checks, in the order they bite.
- Export what you have built. Your FAQ knowledge, canned responses and campaign flows are months of tuning. Ask HiJiffy what you can export and in what format, and ask the new vendor what it can import, before you give notice.
- Time it to your billing cycle. HiJiffy lists yearly and monthly payment options. If you pay yearly, plan the switch around the renewal date rather than paying for two tools longer than you need to.
- Keep your WhatsApp number. Guests have it saved and it is printed on your confirmations. Ask both vendors, in writing, how the number moves and whether it goes offline during the move.
- List what your PMS integration actually does today. HiJiffy's Mews integration page, for example, describes live availability in the chat, reservation updates the moment a booking changes, Mews check-in links sent over WhatsApp, and add-ons created as orders in Mews. Write down which of these you use, and ask every alternative, us included, which of them it does today rather than on a roadmap.
- Run both tools in parallel. A week or two with the new tool in safe mode, while the old one still answers guests, costs one extra subscription. A bad cutover in high season costs reviews.
- Price the switch, not the plan. New setup fee, the overlap month, and the hours your team spends retraining. Put that next to what the new tool removes before you decide.
Which alternative fits which reason
| If you are leaving because | Look first at | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Guests still call reception | Timo, Canary Technologies | Both describe answering inbound calls on their own sites |
| Enquiries are not turning into bookings | Asksuite | Built around the pre-booking conversation, with 400+ booking engine connections published |
| You want online check-in, a guest app and upsells | Duve | The guest app and check-in are the core product, with messaging attached |
| You want one vendor for most of the guest stack | Canary Technologies | Check-in, upsells, payments, messaging and voice from one supplier |
| You worry about visibility in AI assistants and metasearch | Quinta | Structures and distributes hotel data rather than answering guests |
| Your messaging channels are scattered | Possibly nobody | That is HiJiffy's core job, so re-check your plan before you switch |
If you are not replacing anything and are choosing a tool for the first time, the category comparison of AI receptionists for hotels is the better starting page.
Where Timo fits, and where it does not
We build Timo, so read this section with that in mind.
Timo is the right alternative when the reason you are looking is the phone. It answers WhatsApp, the phone and email from one unified inbox, so the channel a guest picks stops mattering to your team. It is also a reasonable pick for a property on Mews that wants a smaller supplier: Timo works with Mews today, and most properties have a first version live in about two weeks. See how Timo works for Mews properties.
Timo is the wrong alternative if you need a long integration list live today: HiJiffy publishes 100+ integrations, Duve 150+ and Asksuite 500+, while we work with Mews and are adding others. It is also the wrong pick if Instagram, Facebook Messenger or webchat are channels you cannot give up, since they are not channels we list, if you want a guest app and digital keys, which is Duve's ground, or if you want a single enterprise suite, which is Canary's.

How this page was built
Every claim about another vendor on this page was read off that vendor's own public website on 11 September 2026: hijiffy.com (home, plans and pricing, about, and its Mews integration page), asksuite.com (home and integrations), canarytechnologies.com (home, AI Voice, AI Guest Messaging, pricing and integrations), duve.com (home, pricing, DuveAI, integrations and its Mews page) and quinta.im (home, pricing and virtual concierge). Each card links its main source. We have not run these products in a live property, so this compares what companies publish, not how their software behaves on a full Saturday night.
Where a vendor's own pages disagree, we say so: HiJiffy's homepage publishes 100+ integrations, while its integrations page says 80+ in one place and 60+ in another. We use the homepage figure, which is the most generous to them. Where a vendor does not name a capability, the table says "not named on their site" rather than "no", because those are different statements and only one of them is verifiable.
If you work at one of these companies and something here is out of date or wrong, tell us and we will fix it and note the change.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best alternative to HiJiffy?
There is no single best one, because the right replacement depends on why you are leaving. If phone calls are the gap, look at Timo or Canary Technologies, both of which describe answering calls. For reservation conversion, Asksuite. For online check-in, a guest app and upsells, Duve. For visibility in AI assistants and metasearch, Quinta. If your only problem is scattered messaging channels, HiJiffy may still be the right tool.
Which HiJiffy alternatives answer phone calls?
Of the tools on this page, two describe answering inbound calls on their own sites: Canary Technologies, with its AI Voice product, and Timo, which answers the phone at reception. HiJiffy lists voice among its channels, and its plan table describes it as voice messaging. Asksuite, Duve and Quinta do not name phone call answering on their sites as of 11 September 2026.
Is there a cheaper alternative to HiJiffy?
On published prices, HiJiffy's Basic plan starts at 99 EUR per month, but PMS integration and WhatsApp campaigns are listed under Premium, from 319 EUR plus setup. Duve publishes minimum packages from 120 USD per month, with its communication hub from 150 USD. Timo starts from 99 EUR per month. Asksuite and Canary quote per property, and Quinta's data services start at 599 USD. Compare against the plan you actually need.
Which HiJiffy alternatives integrate with Mews?
On their own sites, Duve publishes a two-way Mews integration connected through the Mews Marketplace, and Canary Technologies names Mews among its PMS integrations. Timo works with Mews today. HiJiffy itself also publishes a Mews integration. Asksuite's integrations page and Quinta's site do not name Mews. Whoever you shortlist, ask which Mews data it reads and writes, not just whether a connection exists.
How long does it take to switch from HiJiffy?
Plan for two to four weeks including overlap. Duve says it can go live in as little as 10 days, and Timo puts a first version live in about two weeks: connect the PMS, agree the FAQs and tasks, test in safe mode, then switch on. Add time to export your FAQ knowledge, move your WhatsApp number and run both tools in parallel before you cancel.
Should I switch from HiJiffy at all?
Only if the problem you have now is one HiJiffy is not built to solve. If your pain is guest messages scattered across channels and your PMS is on its list, a mature hub with 2,600+ hotels behind it is hard to beat, and switching costs setup, retraining and a transition period. Switch when the gap is structural: calls, reservations, check-in, or visibility in AI search.
Tell us in about a minute why you are looking beyond HiJiffy. If Timo fits, you get a setup and a price. If another tool on this page fits better, we will say so.
